Paleohacks Cookbook Review
Today I’m going to share with you something that helped me lose weight, gain energy, and essentially change my life. I made this lifestyle change 18 months ago and I have NEVER felt better. Not a day goes by where I don’t give thanks for finding this amazing, yet simple – change in my mindset about which foods I consume on a daily basis.
Perhaps you’ve heard of the “Caveman Diet.” This is the raw name for what has become known as the “Paleo Diet.” Science shows that it’s among the most effective ways to eat if you are looking to stay lean, build muscle, and maintain energy. This is a fitness and diet phenonmenn today because it goes by the age old premise that “if a caveman couldn’t consume it, neither can you.”
This simplifies dieting by going off of the principle that the caveman was prone to eating anything he could stumble across. This could be meat, vegetables, greens, seeds, nuts, or poultry. When you think about it, they didn’t have the “luxury” of having sugary cereals, gourmet frozen pizza, and all the sweets we love to eat like ice cream and cotton candy!
If you look around, you’ll see many people preaching how amazing it is to “eat Paleo.” Today, we’re happy to say that we’ve found a serious hack that simplifies all that stuff you’ll read on other websites. It’s the “PaleoHacks Cookbook.”
We picked up a copy, and today we share with you our PaleoHacks Cookbook review. If you want to skip right to the official website, just click here.
Otherwise, enjoy my thoughts on this complete shortcut to how Paleo dieting works.
I have never been one to weigh my food or count each calorie I put in my body. Honestly, who has time for that? I don’t even like to think about my micro or macro nutrients, to be entirely frank with you. The fact that I’ve uncovered, through years of consulting with nutritionists and even Doctors, is that not every calorie is created equal. It’s quite elementary if you think about it. How on Earth could 200 calories of vegetables be equal to the same amount of calories consumed from friend oreos?
At the end of the day, if you remove the toxic foods that cause fat and energy loss, you can take your mind entirely off counting calories.
Our diets are full of sugars, trans fats, and processed foods. This is absolutely awful for our skin, eyes, and bio-make-up. These diets cause cancer, lead to heart and mental problems, as well as weight gain, not to mention ugly belly fat. This is all backed up by research, it’s not some made up opinion.
When you embark on a Paleo diet, you essentially cut out all of that crap. This diet reduces the glycemic load on our bodies while increasing the nutrients and vitamins we consume. When you follow this plan, you obtain the right mix of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.
This diet centers on fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat. Again, all of these foods are natural and come from the Earth. Hence, the caveman references. They didn’t exactly have a processing center near by to make canned goods!
The entire craze of eating organic foods and grass fed beef is centered on the premise that we don’t need to be eating anything exposed to dangerous pesticides, antibiotics, or other elements that simply weren’t around “back in the day.” The diet plan this cookbook really hones in on will show you that the makeup of our ancestors’ diet was the following mix:
- 30% calories derived from protein
- 35% calories from carbohydrates
- 35% calories from fats
Since eating Paleo is a lifestyle, you’ll find comfort in knowing that there are many people who support this and aren’t afraid to make their voices heard. Do a quick search online and you’ll see that there is no shortage of online forums, Facebook groups, and websites devoted promoting this diet. It’s not a fad, it’s a lifestyle.
Should you start this diet and “go Paleo,” this means that you’ll generally keep your shopping cart at the perimeter of the super market. You’ll be giving up items that are processed, and this usually means they are sold in a jar, bag, or large box. What you can bank on benefiting your health is the fact that you will be cutting out added salt, sugar, and dairy. There are mixed reviews on potatoes, but since I work our routinely, I still keep them in my diet because I burn those calories off. (Plus, I eat sweet potatoes, which are generally very healthy for you.)
Of course, you’ll ask the big question – “Can I drink while on a paleo diet?”
I do. It’s a vice, and something I enjoy. It’s not friendly to this diet, but again, I work out and take great care of myself, so it’s not a huge deal. Look around on forums and you’ll see others sharing that same sentiment.
This lifestyle is a complete change for a lot of people. It’s not a fad diet or something that will be gone in five years. If you can do this, and exercise, I guarantee you that you will look and feel better. I’ve converted many people to this way of living and they thank me constantly.
