Are you about to have a wild night of drinking? Or did you just come off of a night of getting tanked with your buddies?

Don’t waste your money buying any of the over-the-counter hangover remedies, because we all know that they never work. They claim to cure hangovers in the blink of an eye, but they are usually just expensive herbs and drinking concoctions that don’t really do anything at all.

There are hangover remedies that definitely do work. Instead of giving you the best cure for hangover, I’m going to provide a number of different tips that you can use to cure what ails you.

So, instead of spending the next day feeling like you’re about to die, you can try some of these hangover remedies and start feeling better a lot quicker.

Drinking Water

This should come as no major surprise to anyone, but you’d be surprised how many people fail to drink lots of water after a night of drinking.

Since alcohol as a diuretic, it will make you dehydrated. And the dehydration is a huge part of the hangover.

So, not only should you drink plenty of water after you wake up with a hangover, but to help minimize the effects, you should drink as much water as you can before going to bed after a night of drinking.

At a minimum, you should have about 20 ounces of water. But if you can drink even more than that, your body will start replenishing and rehydrating while you sleep.

Sure, you’re probably going to have to wake up and go to the bathroom a bunch of times, but you spent the whole night drinking, so that was already going to happen anyway!

Drink Sports Drinks

Most people fail to realize that sports drinks are an excellent option to use to help cure your hangover.

But why are sports drinks so effective?

They are effective because they contain a plentiful supply of electrolytes. And as you drink alcohol, your electrolyte stores are severely diminished.

So, by drinking sports drinks like Gatorade or Powerade, you are replenishing the electrolytes that the alcohol has destroyed. This will make it a lot easier for you to bounce back from a hangover.

Again, if you have the opportunity – prepare for this – to drink sports drinks before going to sleep after a night of drinking, you should definitely do it. Down as much Gatorade or Powerade as you can and you’ll feel a lot better the next day. You’re not going to feel perfect, but your hangover will be a lot less than it could have been.

Crackers or Toast

When you are a kid and you have a stomach bug, your mom would give you dry toast or crackers so that you can keep liquids and food down without throwing up.

Guess what?

This remedy also works for hangovers. So eat dry toast or crackers before going to sleep or in the morning after drinking.

The bread or crackers will restore your blood sugar levels and get glucose back in your body, which will seriously help diminish the negative effects of a hangover.
