Products by EAS Sports Nutrition

The online store for EAS carries bars, shakes, and powders. Choose foods that focus on weight loss, hydration, or carbs; muscle building and/or protein. Their lines are Myoplex, Precision Performance, AdvantEDGE, Lean 15, and Complete. We will look at each one a little more closely so you can get a feel for what they have to offer.

Myoplex

It has been 20 years since Myoplex started making protein products available. Their reputation for producing safe, reliable supplements is reassuring to the new sports-nutrition consumer. Their catalogue contains pre-workout products, supplements to consume during a workout, muscle-building powders, and recovery products. They also make meal supplements such as bars and drinks. Of the lines sold here, this is the only non-EAS brand.

Myoplex Protein Blend contains 3 types of protein for 6-hours of muscle nutrition in 5 possible flavors: chocolate, banana, cinnamon swirl, mango, and vanilla. Each serving contains 26g of protein and 130 calories: an amount comparable with other high quality protein powders. Those three proteins are Leucine, Phosphatidylserine (PS), and HMB. Leucine and HMB are both BCAAs: Branched Chain Amino Acids. They provide muscles with building and repair materials. PS is a plant-based protein that balances all three.

Myoplex Micellar Casein comes in chocolate or vanilla and is used for muscle recovery by night. Tissues knit and cells replenish while you sleep. Casein is slowly digested so that your body has time to truly repair after a hard day of lifting heavy weights. It also contains the fusion of Leucine, PS, and HMB.

Precision Performance

Another line of protein-providers your protein and energy needs with products like Muscle Ignition, Muscle Ammo, and Mass Factor. Precision Performance is an EAS original line providing sports specific nutrients like BCAAs which your muscles need to grow bulkier, for defense, and to facilitate repair.

Muscle Factor is a post-workout meal or snack for any time of day. It contains 20g of whey protein and 4.3g of BCAAs in a powder you can mix with water or milk. Muscle Physique supplies 2g of creatine monohydrate and 1g of HMB. The purpose is to give you more strength in the long run, so you need to take it regularly. HMB defends the very tissues creating your muscle in order to help you assimilate protein better. You will gain muscle more easily as a result. Muscle Physique comes in cherry or orange flavor. Overall, it would seem these first two lines (Precision Performance and Myoplex) best serve the bodybuilding, extreme athlete but would also be useful to anyone who has trouble gaining weight for health reasons.

AdvantEDGE

Here is another EAS product: a CARB CONTROL shake that is ready to drink. Each serving contains just 100 calories but only 1.5g of carbohydrates and a whopping 17g of protein. This is a great way to hydrate and bulk up on protein at the same time.

The low carbohydrate amount makes this a perfect accompaniment to an apple or light salad for someone who is trying to gain muscle and lose fat. The protein will supply energy without causing blood sugar to spike and setting off a chain reaction of cravings and hunger.

Lean 15

EAS makes two products in this diet-friendly line: a bar and a powder. EAS Lean 15 bars contain 210 calories each, 60 calories of which are fat. Nutrients include 15g of protein (hence the name Lean 15), 1g of fiber, potassium, Vitamins A, C, and E, and Vitamin B12. Eat one for lunch or as a snack between tough workouts.

Lean 15 Protein Powder

Available in chocolate fudge or vanilla cream flavor, Lean 15 Protein Powder is contained in a bright purple pot with a scoop rig in the lid. Each 100-calorie serving provides that same 15g of protein as a bar but more fiber: 5g. There are fewer nutrients on the list this time but still has Vitamins B12, A, C, and E plus calcium, but no iron.

Complete

The final label from EAS is their Complete line made up of just two products: the same as above (Lean 15) but with more protein. The powder in its distinctive purple pot contains 25g of protein per serving and 150 calories each time you scoop it into your milk or juice.

Each serving also contains 22 vitamins and minerals such as phosphorus, molybdenum, copper, and biotin; niacin, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, and Calcium. There is iron, 3g of fiber, and 7% of your daily potassium requirement.

Try the shake: this is perfect as a post-workout pick-me-up, thanks to its 20g protein content and those 22 nutrients such as Vitamins C and E. There is no hype around B Vitamins they do not deserve: B Vitamins support a healthy metabolic system which means you have energy, moods are better, and you also burn more calories.
