Guillermo Rigondeaux just posted on Instagram calling our Vasyl Lomachenko, saying that Orlando Salido is injured, and that he is ready to fight anytime.
Here is the post:
Apparently #SiriSalido is hurt and can't fight @lomachenkovasiliy . I want you all to know that I am ready to fight at 126 tomorrow morning. If @trboxing and @rocnation want to make history have #Loma and I fight each other and let's see who is #1. #TeamRigo is ready. #NotFighting4Peanuts anymore. I want only the best! Bring it on! #RigoLoma #lomarigo
I had previous posted how it looked like Lomachenko was looking for a rematch against Orlando Salido.
If you are a casual fan, the only fight on your radar may be the Conor McGregor Floyd Mayweather fight. Let me point out why this could be one not to miss.
Vasyl Lomachenko is relatively young to the pro boxing world, with a total of 9 professional fights, and he has one loss to Orlando Salido. That being said, with his dominance in the following fights after his los, and his amateur record, he is ranked by many as one of the top pound for pound boxers in the world.
Guillermo Rigondeaux is also on the top pound for pound lists. He holds a few title belts in the super bantamweight division, and is undefeated, with a record of 18-0, 12 of those wins by knockout.
This should be a great match up by two very skilled fighters, so keep your eyes out for this announcement, if it comes together.
