There are many activity trackers available. The Garmin Vivosmart HR activity tracker has the features you want at an affordable price.

This is the fitness tracker I personally chose to use. I synced it with my iPhone and it is also synced with MyFitnessPal, which is super cool! These are the two main things I have been using to get back in shape over the past few months, along with exercising.

Features To Help You Reach Your Goals

Whether you are working toward a specific fitness goal or only want to become healthier, this particular activity tracker can help you accomplish it. It has all the features you need.

One example is the activity tracker monitors your heart rate. The tracker’s special technology will keep you informed of your heart rate throughout the day. This feature is especially useful when you do cardio workouts.

The tracker monitors your activity movements and intensity. You will be kept up to date on the floors climbed, steps you take, and the distance you walk.

There is also a calorie monitor. Whether you are trying to lose weight, become healthier, or simply monitor the calories you consume and burn, this is a useful feature on the Garmin Vivosmart HR activity tracker.

This was the main reason I got this, as it uses the heart monitor to estimate your calories burned, and I wanted to see how many calories I was using up during various workouts.

These features are all clear and easy to read, even when you are outdoors in direct sunlight. You do not have to take time away from your activity to search for information. All the information you need is displayed on the band.

Features To Stay Connected

The activity tracker can also help you stay connected. You can receive alerts on the tracker whenever you need to check your calendar or email. You can receive alerts when there are phone calls or text messages on your smartphone. You will be notified of social media updates, too. These Smart notifications can make your life easier.

The Vivosmart HR Can Keep You On-Task

If you occasionally slow down, do not move, or forget your goal, you will be reminded by your new activity tracker. The tracker features a vibration alert and a move bar to help you stay on-task. When you want to turn every day into a health and fitness day, this is the one tracker that will help you do it. One thing about this is that it doesn’t seem to detect when you actually move; for instance, after walking around for a few minutes, and then right after I sit down, it will sometimes remind me to move, after I was just moving around.

Garmin Vivosmart HR Activity Tracker: Product Details

This lightweight tracker weighs only 1.12 ounces. With a length of 2.5 inches, it is appropriate for average-sized adults. The tracker is also available in an extra-large size.

A lithium ion battery is included with the tracker. As it has a battery life of up to five days, it does not need to be charged as often as many activity tracker batteries.

What Do Customers Think Of This Model?

With a 3.9 rating, customers love this product. Customers appreciate the long-lasting screen technology, and not needing to remove the tracker before swimming or showering. Although it is not meant to be worn in deep water, the product is water resistant.

Health and fitness are important. One of the easiest ways to track your progress is with an activity tracker. You can quickly see if you need to make changes in your activity levels, and when you are making progress toward your goals. You could purchase a more expensive product, yet not find all the features and benefits of the Garmin Vivosmart HR.

One con that I have not researched too heavily, is that it counts steps when driving, and I am pretty sure it does it by distance. I would think with how smart this device is in other areas, that it would realize at 65-70 mph on the highway, I’m obviously driving, but it doesn’t seem to know that, so I try and remember to shut it off, but I depend more on the actual workouts I add, as opposed to counting steps.

I love at the end of the day when I have burned more calories than I’ve consumed, and amazingly, my weight loss has been pretty much aligned with the 3,500 calorie rule, as I create around a 3,000-4,000 calorie deficit per week, and have been losing an average of just over a pound per week, for the last 2 months.

I was never really a believer in counting calories, and always felt the mind played a larger part in all that, but to my own surprise, that has been the factor that has worked for me. I wrote a post about that here.
