WellStar Diabetes Initiative
WellStar Health System is a leader in diabetes care in the state of Georgia. WellStar is one of eight healthcare systems in the nation selected for a pilot program, TARGET: Diabetes, designed to combat the prevalence of diabetes. The VHA developed the program to help healthcare systems, hospitals and physicians deliver a higher level of clinical care to the rapidly rising number of U.S. residents affected by pre-diabetes and Type 2 diabetes.
