Health Value - Getting our Money’s Worth

Date:  September 27, 2007

Location:  Atlanta, GA

Julie Louise Gerberding, M.D., M.P.H., is the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Administrator of the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). She also serves as a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Emory University and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. In this workshop she examines how government bureaucracy can be updated to deal with the evolving demands of the 21st Century by using real-world examples to help us understand how new alternatives can be applied. The workshop explores what citizens can expect if we create a government capable of dealing with new challenges by focusing on implementation and results rather than process.
