State Solutions
The Center for Health Transformation’s state map is designed to showcase innovative practices in health policy from all 50 states. Specifically, our goal is to highlight plans and programs that are resulting in better health outcomes at lower cost. We have an interest in the following areas:
- The promotion and maintenance of healthy habits around diet and physical activity
- Early testing and prevention
- Successful treatments for diseases
- Transparency initiatives that increase consumer awareness of cost and quality
- New models of health justice
- Best Practices in Medicaid
The map began in early 2006 with a focus on collecting the best practices in Medicaid from state government officials around the country. Medicaid will remain a central priority as it is one of the most pressing public policy issues in every state capital. But it became obvious there was demand for a much broader clearinghouse of ideas for other health policy-related areas, hence this new and expanded forum.
Posters are encouraged to add content as they see fit and make changes and updates at any time. We at the Center for Health Transformation reserve the right to remove posts that contradict our stated goals and/or are clearly false. We cannot be responsible for the veracity of all submissions and therefore ask that contributors identify themselves or their organization should readers wish to follow up.
