Katie Varney
Project Assistant

Katie Varney joined the Center for Health Transformation in February 2008 as a Project Assistant.  In this position, Ms. Varney provides support for the Alzheimer’s Disease, Cancer, and Health Preparedness & Homeland Security projects.

Prior to joining the Center, Ms. Varney served as a Research Associate for a think tank, where she learned a great deal about advancing public policy initiatives by presenting thoughtful research and policy analyses to members of federal, state, and local governments.  She also worked for the Republican National Committee in 2004 and on a gubernatorial campaign in 2006.

Ms. Varney received her Bachelor of Arts in Government and Philosophy from Colby College, where she served as a Research Assistant for the Government Department.  She is a Boston native and currently resides in Washington, DC.
