ATLANTA -  Physicians looking for a one-stop shop to find up-to-date information concerning the debate over health reform in Washington can now access it at the Center for Health Transformation's (CHT) Physician Resource Center.

CHT launched the Physician Resource Center today to offer physicians data, news, guest commentaries, links and other information about the critical debate ongoing in Washington concerning healthcare and health insurance reform.

"We made targeted this Center specifically for doctors because they are on the front lines of medicine every day," said CHT Founder Newt Gingrich. "What happens in Washington in the coming weeks will not only be crucial to their futures but the health of America."

Nancy Desmond, President and CEO of CHT, said the nation's 780,000 physicians play a critical role in keeping our nation healthy and should be included in the dialogue as legislation moves through Congress.

"You cannot disregard physicians in any way, shape or form," Desmond said. "Physicians not only help keep all of us healthy but will play a pivotal role in whether our nation remains a world leader in healthcare. Our policy makers must take their needs into consideration."

The Physician Resource Center includes CHT's six steps to better health reform - many which doctors advocate such as including civil justice reform and eliminating fraud in Medicare and Medicaid in the pending legislation.
