Melissa Ferguson
Vice President, Operations

Melissa FergusonMelissa Ferguson joined The Gingrich Group and the Center for Health Transformation in January 2004. She serves as Vice President of Center Operations and assists in executing key projects and essential activities necessary to achieve the Center’s overall vision of building an intelligent 21st century health system.

From 1999-2002, Ms. Ferguson provided leadership, oversight and management for all operational, budgetary and staffing functions to position Children’s National Medical Center (CNMC) in Washington DC as an early adopter and leader in pediatric telemedicine. During her tenure, the Pediatric Telemedicine Program grew to a network that includes telemedicine consultations among community hospitals, urban primary care centers, suburban regional outpatient centers and the Telemedicine Center at CNMC. Prior to joining CNMC in 1999,

Ms. Ferguson served as Assistant Director of International Medicine Programs at The George Washington University Medical Center. She assisted in positioning The George Washington University Medical Center as a leader in international medical education exchange and patient care. While establishing an exchange program in China, Melissa participated in an Operation Smile medical mission to Nanjing China in 1998. Ms. Ferguson has provided numerous presentations on the topics of health care technology, telemedicine and clinical and educational telemedicine applications to such groups as The American Telemedicine Association, The Center for Telemedicine Law, Children’s Hospital Corporation of America, and The Northern Virginia Technology Council.

Ms. Ferguson received her Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College and Masters of Business Administration from The George Washington University. She resides in Falls Church, Virginia with her husband Matt, son Michael, and daughter Abigail.
