Healthy Workforce and Community
|
The Healthy Workforce and Community Project is an alliance of innovative, forward-looking purchasers of health care (businesses, governments, organizations, associations) united in accelerating the transformation of the American health and healthcare system to a 21st Century System of better health at lower costs. |
Employers involved in the Healthy Workforce and Community Project collaborate among themselves and with CHT’s multi-stakeholder group to transform health:
- Within their workforce, including learning about and implementing transformational solutions that create better health at lower cost for their employees and retirees – and sharing those solutions and lessons learned with other project members;
- Within their industry, serving as transformational models and innovators that move their industry toward a 21st century model of health and healthcare;
- Within the public sector, working as part of CHT’s collaboration of leaders to accelerate the adoption of 21st century public policies that improve overall health, while also lowering healthcare costs (including costs related to healthcare-related taxes and regulations); and
- Within their communities, leading multi-stakeholder groups gathered by CHT (including other employers, disease groups, research institutions, hospitals, physicians, solution providers, and government leaders) to create healthier communities in the states and/or regions where their employees live and work. The success of this model is being demonstrated in the CHT Georgia Project and is now being launched by CHT in other states.
