Chris Dodd's Healthcare Reform Proposal
The following information was released during New Leadership on Health Care: A Presidential Forum, co-sponsored by the Center for American Progress Action Fund and Service Employees International Union:

 According to Senator Dodd, when dealing with the healthcare system there are four principles that are absolutely essentially, which are:

  1. Universal Healthcare - a system there everyone participates and everyone benefits
  2. Prevention - access to proper screening and management of chronic diseases
  3. Expanding Medicaid - provide coverage to poorer families, up to 100 percent of the poverty level; for the ones with children, up to 300 percent of the poverty level
  4. Technology - by utilizing the technology that exists today, individuals have an opportunity to improve their health condition
