Dr. Andy von Eschenbach appointed to CHT as a Senior Advisor
Dr. Andy von Eschenbach, former Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, has been appointed to the Center for Health Transformation (CHT) as a Senior Advisor. In making the announcement Tuesday, Nancy Desmond, CHT President and CEO, said that von Eschenbach would lead the 21st Century FDA Modernization Project. That project will identify key priorities to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the FDA.Dr. von Eschenbach will periodically be working from the CHT Atlanta office, providing an excellent opportunity for our Georgia based members to meet with him.

21st Century Healthy Community Project Launches in Fayette County, GA
Leaders of the Partnership include the Piedmont Fayette and Newnan Hospitals and the Piedmont Heart Institute, Kroger Stores and Pharmacies, the Center for Health Transformation, and Novo Nordisk. “Community initiatives such as this are essential to transforming the health of our nation,” said Laura Linn, Vice President and Director of the Georgia Project at the Center for Health Transformation. “Individuals knowledgeable of their health status living in communities supporting healthy behaviors are central to better health at lower cost.”
