Amy Nyhuis
Director of Meetings and Special Events
Amy Nyhuis joined the Gingrich Group and the Center for Health Transformation in February 2004. Ms. Nyhuis serves as Director of Meetings and Special Events, administering projects, programs and activities to support the membership development and retention initiatives of the Center. Ms. Nyhuis is intrinsically involved in the implementation of the Center’s member services, including managing and executing the member meetings and special events, planning project initiatives, and coordinating and moderating the monthly conference calls. Ms. Nyhuis leads the event team, and she has directed sixteen member meetings in locations including Atlanta, New York, Orlando, San Diego, Tallahassee, Washington, DC, and Naples, FL. Furthermore, she assists with marketing, research, writing, membership database management, and fulfillment of special inquiries and requests from members and prospects. In addition, Ms. Nyhuis serves as a liaison for various CHT Members and focuses on Optimal Health Management and Diabetes Transformation Project.
Prior to joining the Center for Health Transformation, Ms. Nyhuis was the Executive Director of the Renaissance Foundation (RF), an international leadership organization with offices in the U.S. and the Republic of Korea. RF hosts international seminars, exchanges and events that bring together leaders of different countries and cultural backgrounds. RF also works to inspire Americans to become better informed and involved in the political process.
Ms. Nyhuis also served as an Event Coordinator and Scheduler for RF Chairman Nina May, where she assisted her on a variety of projects. Some of those projects included working with the Washington Times, International Trade & Technologies and the Nina May Art Gallery. Ms. Nyhuis was instrumental in assisting the Editor of the Rainbow Page, a children’s page which runs weekly in the weekend edition of the Washington Times. This unique page would give children the opportunity to creatively express themselves through writing and poetry. Ms. Nyhuis coordinated interviews and review opportunities for the children (ages 16 and under) with professional musicians, professional athletes, National Theater Groups and Ballet Companies.
While serving as Executive Director, Ms. Nyhuis assisted the Chairman in marketing US technology-related companies to the Korean government, especially with ROK Armed Forces, through International Trade & Technologies, a company Chairman May co-founded in 1989. Ms. Nyhuis also assisted Chairman May in the grand opening of her art gallery in Culpeper, VA and the launch of her September 11th series, “Heroes Fallen but not Forgotten,” which she was asked to display in the Korean National Assembly in a unique event uniting leaders from Korea and the United States. (May of 2002) While serving under Chairman Nina May, Ms. Nyhuis learned what it truly means to be a Renaissance Woman.
Ms. Nyhuis received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Communications from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. She currently resides in Northern Virginia.
