Clark & Daughtrey Medical Group, P.A., a 50+ multi-specialty, multi-location provider group in Lakeland, Florida, has been an Allscripts-Misys customer for over ten years.

For the past four years, the medical group has invested heavily in technology, with hundreds of thousands going to EMR. Implementation is driven by a high-level management group that meets often and regularly to plan, design and push implementation.

With just over half of providers performing “point of care” documentation, Clark & Daughtry’s constant compliance auditing clearly demonstrates improved provider documentation, better access to medical decision making processes, and higher levels of patient safety.

Clark & Daughtrey has also invested in relationships and interfaces with other medical facilities in their community, such as Lakeland Regional Medical Center, one of the largest hospitals in Florida, and Watson Clinic, a 150+ provider group in Lakeland. Their information sharing provides for efficient data transfer while greatly improving patient care.

Results

• Clark & Daughtrey’s investment and efforts have brought about a significant return on investment with savings of over $250,000 per year in transcription costs and approximately the same amount in what was a traditional medical records department.
