Guest Speaker: Frank Luntz
Date: June 22, 2009
Time: 2:00 PM Eastern
Our health reform update call will feature renown pollster Frank Luntz. Frank is one of the world’s leading consultants on using the right language—or the right “words that work”—to effectively communicate ideas to the public. His clients include state and federal policymakers, political candidates, Fortune 500 companies, Hollywood executives, and many others. His most recent book, Words That Work: It's Not What You Say, It's What People Hear, was a New York Times bestseller.
While much of his work has been on the Republican side of the aisle, even Democrats, such as likely-soon-to-be Senator Al Franken, are fans. Franken endorsed Words That Work by saying, “Language is like music. Unfortunately, Republicans have a Paul McCartney in the person of Frank Luntz. Somehow, we Democrats get stuck with Yoko Ono.”
On our call, Frank will present some recent polling from the past few weeks that focus on "The Language of America 2009" and what politicians and corporations need to be saying to restore confidence, including healthcare.
