Wayne Oliver is presenting a proposal to the members of the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners, the licensing agency in Georgia for physicians.
The CSBME is the disciplinary agency in Georgia for doctors. If a case involves inappropriate prescribing (diversaion of controlled substances, etc) by a physician, the board at its discretion require the physician to use e-prescribing technologies as a contingency of licensure restoration.
