Today, Project Director David Merritt spoke at the World Health Care Congress Leadership Summit on e-Prescribing and Medication Management in Falls Church, VA. The event focused on the benefits of e-Prescribing—a technology that can improve workflow, increase patient safety and allow for the highest quality of medication management in a physician practice. Merritt discussed the increasingly powerful consumer aspect in healthcare, especially as a driving force behind e-prescribing technology, and gave meeting participants a legislative update on health reform in 2009.
