David Merritt Moderates Siemens’ webcast: "Community Connectivity as a Strategy to Improve the Quality and Safety of Medical Care"
Date: September 19, 2007Project Director David Merritt moderated the SIEMENS EHR webcast, “Community Connectivity as a Strategy to Improve the Quality and Safety of Medical Care,” an installment of their Clinical Leadership series focusing on electronic health records (EHRs).
During the session, Dr. Rick MacCornack, Chief Systems Integration Officer at Northwest Physicians Network (NPN), discussed using community connectivity as a strategy for improving the quality and safety of medical care. He shared NPN's experience in implementing a network that connects patients and nearly 400 practitioners in northwest Washington.
NPN is a multi-specialty equity Independent Physician Association (IPA), comprised of providers representing a wide spectrum of specialties. Its mission is to improve the health status of patients assigned to NPN physicians.
