Center Director David Merritt introduced the first session at the Maryland Society for Health Care Strategy and Market Development’s 2007 – 2008 series, “Transforming Health: Real Change Requires Real Change,” in Baltimore, MD.
The series focuses on building a new and effective future for health care in America where everyone has both choice and quality at lower costs. Merritt presented the major trends driving this change, from information technology and quality-based reimbursement to new ideas about expanding health coverage to the uninsured and the role of the consumer, physician and hospital in the process.
