Center Director David Merritt moderated the SIEMENS EHR webcast, “An Electronic Health Record Strategy for the Ambulatory Setting: Success at Mercy Health Partners,” an installment of their Clinical Leadership series focusing on electronic health records (EHRs).
During the session, Dr. Kenneth Bertka, Medical Director of Information and Process Services at Mercy Health Partners, shared the success Mercy has had implementing an electronic health record in their ambulatory environment. By expanding their technology initiatives beyond the acute care setting, Mercy has connected their physicians - and others who continue to care for patients post-discharge - to the latest patient information and results and has provided streamlined, electronic scheduling of inpatient and ambulatory tests.
