Medicare Diabetes Screening Project
The purpose of the MDSP is to increase the awareness of seniors of the Medicare benefit for diabetes screening and decrease the number of undiagnosed seniors with diabetes in Columbus. The Columbus Research Foundation staff educates seniors, sixty-five and older, on metabolic syndrome as well as Medicare coverage [diabetes screenings, supplies, equipment and further testing if you already have diabetes]. They are educating seniors in churches, assisted living homes, senior centers and retirement communities in order to encourage and motivate them to better utilize their Medicare benefits and include exercise and a healthy diet as part of their daily routine.Click here to watch a video to learn more>>
