The Center for Health Transformation is a high-impact collaboration of private and public sector leaders committed to creating a 21st Century Intelligent Health System that saves lives and saves money for all Americans. CHT is based on the following premise: Small changes or reactionary fixes to separate pieces of the current system have not and will not work. We need system-wide transformation. Unlike other alliances, CHT unites stakeholders across the spectrum of healthcare and government leaders at both the state and federal level to drive transformation according to a shared vision and key principles.

Our members represent clinicians and health systems, employers, payers, providers of solutions in health information technology, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, and other patient care areas, trade associations, disease & wellness organizations, and patient advocacy groups. Our goal is to create a more collaborative, innovation-rich environment to foster new market-oriented solutions to America’s healthcare challenges, particularly with regard to personalized health, steps to stop fraud, creating incentives for better health outcomes, lawsuit reform to reduce the cost of defensive medicine, using health information technology to cut waste and inefficiency of a paper-based system and reforming our payment system to one that is value-based.
