The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act: Its Role in a 21st Century Personal Intelligent Health System
Date: August 12, 2008: 2:00 PM Eastern
On May 22, 2008, Congress passed, and the President signed into law, the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA). Both GINA’s advocates and opponents agreed the law would carry significant, broad ranging implications. In this month’s member teleconference, we will use specific examples from cancer to explore what the impact of GINA is likely to be and explain why CHT and many of our members view it as an important step in building a 21st Century Personal Intelligent Health System.
